A dedicated civic leader, Mr. Griffin has served in numerous board and leadership roles, including with Pierpont Community & Technical College, Fairmont State University, the West Virginia Black Heritage Festival, the North Central West Virginia Transit Authority, and Your Community Foundation of North Central West Virginia. His contributions have been widely recognized, including receiving the FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award.

Mr. Griffin remains deeply committed to community service, guided by a lifelong belief in helping others and strengthening the communities he serves. He's been married to his wife Joyce for more than 50 years, and enjoys spending time with his son and grand children.
