Board Member
A lover of wild places since her upbringing in Alaska, Kat is proud to call the Mountain State home since 2024. She holds degrees in studio art and cultural anthropology from the University of North Carolina and the University of Cincinnati, and she brings her years of experience in the visual and performing arts to her service on the board of the Monongalia Arts Center (MAC). Kat believes in the importance of celebrating local culture and the power of arts programming to encourage curiosity, promote thoughtful discussion, and build community.
You can find Kat working in her painting studio at the MAC, choreographing dance routines at her creative movement studio, Flying Fox Fitness, spending quality time with her husband and cats, and trying to finally get the hang of gardening.
